1957 |
Matsumoto Seisakusho began its business in Fukushima Ward, Osaka City.
Built a new factory, whose major line of business was machine processing of synthetic resins. |
1960 |
Matsumoto Co., Ltd. incorporated with capital of \2 million. |
1964 |
Moved the Head Office and plant over to Suito-cho, Suita-shi, Osaka. |
1975 |
Began research into stamping of polyester film (Toray’s Lumirror ®). (This research built the foundation of the company’s current film processing technologies.) |
1977 |
Increased the capital to \30 million. |
1981 |
Introduced screen printers, far-infrared drying ovens and other printing equipment. Began research and development of membrane switches. |
1982 |
Introduced fully automated film stamping machines to fully begin the business of film stamping. |
1983 |
Discontinued the cutting business the company had run since its beginning. Expanded its plant to enhance its membrane switch business. Designed and manufactured the company’s own fully automated stamping and continuous pressing machines to establish a mass-production system for thermal-formed films. |
1984 |
Introduced fully automated pressing robots. |
1985 |
Expanded the plant and its facilities to establish a full system to mass-produce membrane switches. |
1986 |
Successfully developed a screen film for electronic blackboards. Taking advantage of this occasion, began development of ultrasonic bonding technologies. |
1989 |
Newly built a clean room for high-precision processing of EL (electroluminescence). |
1992 |
Began joint development of a special sensor using film. |
1994 |
Expanded the plant and enhanced its facilities to establish a full system to mass-produce film sensors. |
1996 |
Built a new plant at Hitotsuya, Settsu-shi, to boost production of film sensors. Began design and development of our own processing facilities for film sensors. Received an official commendation from the Governor of Osaka Prefecture for the film processing technologies. |
1997 |
Completed a fully automated processing line of film sensors. Also introduced IR annealing furnaces, two-dimensional measuring machines, etc. to establish a complete mass production system. Received the Director-General of the Science and Technology Agency Award for the film sensor processing technologies. |
2001 |
Began production of light shielding tapes (edge tapes). |
2002 |
Built the Torikai Plant (with clean rooms in every building). Acquired the ISO 14001 certification. Founded a partnership company in Tianjin, China. |
2004 |
Consolidated the functions of the Suita head office and the Hitotsuya plant and moved them to Higashi-befu (with clean rooms in every building). |
2005 |
Began manufacturing large reflector plates.
Acquired the ISO 9001 certification. |
